These displays promote the 100 Years of Telegraph Puzzles collection, showcasing the book range across both print and digital platfotms. The designs reuse the established book cover system, using bold colour blocking and clear typography to differentiate titles while maintaining a cohesive Telegraph identity. Promotional messaging and call-to-action elements are integrated cleanly, ensuring the banners feel consistent, flexible, and easily scalable across digital placements.
This set of puzzle banners builds on the book cover designs by extracting the circular numbered dots and using them
as a core graphic device. Repeated and connected across the layouts, these elements form puzzle-like patterns that add structure, movement, and visual interest. The approach creates a consistent system for introducing colour and rhythm across the banners, while staying closely tied to the logic and language of the original covers.
After reviewing the four initial banner variations, I refined the design by combining the strongest elements from each concept to create a more cohesive final outcome. I selected the navy background for stronger contrast and brand presence, simplified the layout to improve focus, and adjusted product placement for better balance and visibility. I also removed the text box so the headline overlays directly onto the background, creating a cleaner, more modern look and improving overall visual flow.
Here’s some examples of the banners being displayed in situ on the bookshop homepage, demonstrating how the final design integrates within the live website layout. The banners sit prominently within the hero section, effectively drawing attention and acting as a focal point.
